Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a low-carbon jet fuel produced from renewable feedstocks. Compared with conventional Jet A-1, SAF can reduce lifecycle CO₂ emissions by up to 80% and is fully compatible for blending under ASTM D7566.
Major production pathways include HEFA, FT-SPK, ATJ, and e-SAF. Airlines worldwide are adopting SAF under new mandates and carbon credit systems.
